3 peeled and sliced Granny Smith Apples
2 Tablespoons sugar
Lemon Zest & juice
Cinnamon and a pinch of salt

Topping:
1 stick butter softened
⅔ Cup flour
⅔ Cup whole oats
⅔ Cup brown sugar
pinch of salt

Caramel Sauce:
¼ Cup water
⅔ Cup sugar
½ Cup heavy cream
1 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a 9x13 oven proof pan.
Mix apples with 2 Tablespoons sugar, lemon zest, juice, cinnamon and a pinch of salt and spread evenly in pan.

For the topping incorporate all topping ingredients (mixing with your hands) and crumble over apples. Bake for 45 minutes at 350º.

While baking make the caramel sauce. In a medium pan add water & sugar cook over medium heat to a boil and cook until brown. Pull off heat and whisk in cream, butter and vanilla.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.
