½ Cup Karo Syrup (light or dark)
½ Cup butter
5 squares (5 ozs.) Bakers Semi-sweet Chocolate
¾ Cup sugar
3 Eggs
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup chopped Walnuts

Chocolate Glaze (prepare while cake is cooling):
Melt 3 squares (3 ozs.) Bakers Semi-sweet Chocolate and
1 Tablespoon Butter
Remove from heat & stir in 2 Tablespoons Karo Syrup and 1 teaspoon milk

Directions:

Grease and flour a 9" round cake pan.
In a large sauce pan bring corn syrup and butter to a boil. Remove from heat and add chocolate stirring until melted. Add sugar and stir in eggs one at a time then add vanilla, flour and nuts. Pour into prepared pan and bake in a preheated 350º oven for 45 minutes.

Cool in pan 10 minutes then cool completely on a rack.

Prepare glaze and pour over cake spreading over the sides.

Let stand 1 hour before serving with cool whip or vanilla ice cream.
