Directions:In cocktail shaker half filled with ice, pour in desired amount of vodka (or whiskey). Add a 4 to 6 shakes of Worcestershire sauce. Fill to just below the top with bloody mary mix. Squeeze in the juice from lemon and lime wedges (or a little bit of juice concentrate). Add 3 or 4 spoonfuls of dill pickle juice. Add 2 to 4 dashes of hot sauce. Finish with a sprinkle of celery salt and a grind or black pepper. Shake in cocktail shaker until ingredients are all mixed and cold. Taste and make any desired adjustments. Strain into a pint glass half filled with ice, and top it off with wild and crazy garnish. Drink using a straw so you can stir every once in a while, and enjoy the half a beer as a chaser sipped alongside your bloody. |

Notes: I used to hate bloody marys, then I moved to Milwaukee. Here they have complicated recipes with tons of variety, locally made ingredients, and the most outlandish garnishes you could imagine. And of course the beer chaser, which acts as a refreshing palate cleanser between sips of your bloody and bites of your brunch. This recipe is based on my co-worker Steve's bloody mary recipe. He always claimed he made the best bloody marys for his Packers parties, so I had to give it a try. I modified it a little bit by adding a few things, and his original included horseradish but I don't have that on hand so I left it out of my version. I hope you enjoy this Milwaukee style brunch buddy!
