2 6-ounce cans tomato paste or 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
2 cups water, or 1 cup water if using tomato sauce
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions:
Directions:
Bring all ingredients to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce to simmer.

Cover with lid slightly ajar and allow to simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until sauce is reduced and thickened, stirring every 10-15 minutes.

Store leftover sauce in refrigerator for about 4-5 days, or freeze for up to three months.
