2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
1 tsp. soda
5 cups flour
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla or cherry extract
1 cup chopped nuts
small bottle of cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries and save juice. Cut up cherries into pieces. Mix ingredients and use ½ bottle of juice from cherries. Roll dough in small logs in wax paper. Refrigerate. Take one log out at a time and slice. Bake at 350 for 12 - 15 minutes These are delicious topped with a Hersey Cherry Cordial Kiss immediately pressed on the top of the cookie.
