Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 salmon fillet

Approximate measurements, just make sure ingredients are evenly distributed.

1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika*

*sub liquid smoke for non-spicy version

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.

2. Line baking tray/pan with foil.

3. Place thawed salmon fillet skin-side down on lined pan.

4. Pour soy sauce on fillet, making sure it is distributed evenly. Try not to drown the fillet in soy sauce or it will be too salty.

5. Add lemon pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to fillet, making sure spices are distributed evenly. Go crazy with the spices. Attached picture shows how your fillet should look when marinated.

6. Let the fillet marinate for 5-10 minutes (usually time it takes the oven to preheat).

7. Bake for 10-15 minutes* depending on size of fillet. When it flakes easily, the salmon is ready.

*Baking time is for thawed salmon

Personal Notes:
I wanted to eat more fish, but hate the smell of leftover fish and worried about difficult cooking/prep.

This recipe is easy to make and easy to clean up if you use foil.

I usually buy wild-caught Alaskan salmon fillets that have been frozen individually. Since the fillets are single-portion, they thaw quickly in the refrigerator (~8 hours).

My boyfriend usually grills salmon and I was missing the smokey taste, so I added smoked paprika to the marinade. If you don't like spicy, but want a smokey flavor, try adding liquid smoke or smoked salt instead of soy sauce.

To get a crispy top, turn the broiler on high for 1 min at the end of cooking.
