2 1/2 C Sugar
1/2 C Light Corn Syrup
1/2 C Water
2 egg whites (beaten stiff)
1 tsp Vanilla
1 C walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, corn syrup & water in saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved then cook without stirring until 260º, while that is cooking, beat egg whites (best in cooled bowl & beaters). remove from sugar mixture from heat & pour slowly into beaten egg whites. add vanilla & continue beating until mixture holds a shpa & becomes slight ball. Fold in nuts if desired. Drop quickly from tip of buttered spoon onto wax paper.
