2 cups raisins
1 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
1 cup Crisco
2 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon of each, salt, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, soda, and vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil in a small sauce pan the raisins and water. Let cool
Beat together sugar and Crisco.
Add the dry ingredients and mix together
Fold in the raisins and water mixture.
Drop dough by teaspoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 19 to 12 minutes.

You can add pecans if you like!
