1 kg beef mince
1 onion, grated
1 tomato, grated
2 slices bread, crusts removed and softened in a little water
1 egg
1½ tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground coriander
¼ cup chopped parsley
A squeeze of lemon juice
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground chilli or to taste ( optional)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into burgers.
Cook in a pan or on a BBQ for about 20 minutes or until done.
Serve in burger buns with salad.

Regular beef mince will give a softer and more succulent burger than lean beef mince.
The onion and tomato can be chopped in a food processor instead of using a grater.
