3 cups flour
3 cups wheat flour
2 pkgs active dry yeast
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tbs sugar
2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
½ cup water
cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
1. Grease two 8½ x4½-inch pans and sprinkled the bottoms of the pans with corn meal.

2. Combine 1½ cups flour, 1½ cups wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda.

3. Heat liquids until very warm (120º-130ºF) on stove or in microwave (1-2 minutes on High).

4. Add warm liquid to dry mixture; beat well.

5. Stir in the rest of the wheat and white flours to make a stiff batter.

6. Spoon into prepared pans. Sprinkle corn meal on top of the bread. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Bake at 400ºF for 25 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes then remove from pans and let them continue to cool.

Microwave oven directions: Reduce flour by 1 cup. Mix land let rise as directed above. Microwave each loaf on high power 6-1/2 minutes (no longer). Note, the surface of loaf will be moist, flat and pale. Allow to rest 5 minutes before removing from pans.
