1 cup cornmeal
1 tbsp baking powder
⅓ cup vegetable oil
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup whole kernel corn
⅓ cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 tbsp chopped jalapeno pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º Grease an 8 inch pan. Combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Combine the wet ingredients in a second bowl. Mix dry into the wet ingredients until just blended. Add corn, cheese and chopped jalapenos. Stir. Pour into pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
