2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
½ c finely chopped walnuts toasted
2 large eggs
1 tbsp dutch cocoa pder
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Sugar and Confectionery sugar for rolling

Directions:
Position racks in the top and bottom third of oven, preheat oven to 300 degrees

Place chocolate and butter in a small bowl, microwave on high stirring every 30 seconds until melted, let cool

Scrape into a large bowl

Add flour sugar, walnuts, eggs, cocoa, baking powder and salt

Use an electric mixer on medium beat until well blended spotting occasionally to scrape down the sides of the bowl about 1 minute

Using a 1 inch 2 tsp cookie scoop scoop the dough and roll into confectinary shgar.

Divide between two non-stick or parchment lined baking sheets spacing about 2 inches apart

Bake until crackly on top and soft in the middle rotating the sheets and reversing from top to bottom halfway through – about 15 minutes transfer to wire rack and cool.

Roll in granulated sugar then in confectioners sugar.
