For cake:
1 ½ c. sugar
2 t. baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup

For icing:
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 small can evaporated milk
1 small can coconut (about ½ cup)
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix together the cake ingredients, pour into 13x9 pan and bake for 30 minutes. While cake is baking combine icing ingredients in small pot, and cook 10 minutes over slow heat. Pour icing over cake right when you take it out of the oven.
