Rolls

Directions:
Directions:
Get THINLY sliced beef from the deli

Brush rolls with corn starch glaze and the sprinkle the rolls with the caraway seeds and salt.

Place into a preheated oven at 350 degrees.

Heat for approx 3 minutes or until the tops of the rolls get crusty and the salt and seeds stick to the rolls. Remove them and cut them in half.

Have the beef already heated.

To assemble - add beef to the bottom half of each roll and top the beef with horseradish to taste.

Great to eat with a cold beer or ale - as they used to do in the old days!!!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This was a favorite of mine when we would go up to Buffalo, NY. On the way up, Dad would stop in Machias NY and we would have these for supper before going on into Buffalo.

The origin of this sandwich was at the Delaware House in Buffalo NY in 1901 which was owned by Joe Gohn.
