3 Tablespoons Butter
1 Onion, Diced
2 Ribs Celery, Diced
2 Carrots, Diced
1 Package of Diced Uncured Ham
1 Lb Dry Split Peas, Rinsed
6 Cups Chicken or Vegetable Stock
2 Bay Leaves
Salt and Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Turn Instant Pot to sauté setting. Melt butter and saute onion, celery and carrots, season with salt and paper to taste, for about 5 minutes, until softened.

Add the split peas, broth, ham and 2 bay leaves. Cover and set to manual, high pressure for 15 minutes. Allow the pressure to naturally release for 10-15 minutes. Then, quick release the pressure valve.
