1 lb. assorted mushrooms, sliced
1/2 c. butter - divided
2-3 minced garlic cloves
1/4 c. flour
2 c. chicken broth
1½ c. half & half
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/4 t. thyme (dried)
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 1 T. butter. Add mushrooms & salt. Cook until brown & liquid is absorbed. Add garlic & cook 1 min. Add remaining butter. Stir in flour & cook 2 min. Slowly add broth, half & half, thyme, bay leaf & Worcestershire. Simmer and cook until slightly thickened. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
