1 28 oz can - crushed tomatoes
1 cup - chicken broth
2 cloves - garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. - dried basil
1 cup - heavy whipping cream
1 cup - grated parmesan cheese
¼ tsp. - baking soda (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium pot combine the crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, garlic, and basil. Bring to a boil. Optional: Stir in baking soda to neutralize acid from the tomatoes. Reduce the heat and simmer.

In a separate bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and parmesan cheese. Stir in 1 cup of the hot soup to temper the cream and cheese. Add to the soup. Stirring constantly, bring the soup back to a boil to melt the cheese. Serve once smooth.
