9 cups milk
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup semolina or farina or simigdali
1 package phyllo
Butter for brushing


Syrup
2 ½ cup sugar
2 cup water
3 lemon peel

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 º

2. Warm milk in a large pot

3. In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar
Add vanilla

4. Lower heat on the milk and add egg mixture
Stir really good
Add the simigdali a little bit at a time
Keep stirring until thick
Take off heat
Cover with plastic wrap until cold

5. Assemble
Butter 11 x 13 pan
Use half package of phyllo and brushing each layer of phyllo with butter
Pour cream
Then layer with rest of phyllo, butter, phyllo, etc
Let stand x 10-15 min
Cut into diamonds

6. Bake until golden

7. Make the syrup
Pour COLD syrup over HOT galactoboureko
