CAKE:
¾ Cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
3 egg yolks
½ Cup sugar
¼ Cup boiling water
1 tsp vanilla

PUDDING: See Vanilla Pudding recipe on Pg 140 - OR - make a batch of vanilla JELLO pudding

GLAZE:
1 sq (1oz) unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp butter
1 Cup sifted 10x sugar
2 Tbsp boiling water

For cake:
Heat oven to 350º, grease and flour 1 8" round pan. Blend flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. Beat yolks in mixer until very thick and pale. Beat sugar in gradually. Slowly blend in water and vanilla on low speed, being careful not to curdle the egg. Quickly blend in dry ingredients; pour into pan. Bake about 25 minutes, cool for ten minutes in pan, then remove to fully cool.

For pudding: See Vanilla Pudding recipe on page 140 - OR - make a batch of vanilla JELLO pudding

For glaze:
Melt chocolate and butter together over hot water. Remove from heat. Blend in sugar and water. Beat only until smooth but not stiff

To assemble, split cake into 2 thin layers. Put pudding in the middle and top with glaze.
