1 c. Granulated Sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
1 large can (13-16 oz salted peanuts)
1 T baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Step 1 - Mix together in a saucepan and heat to 240 degrees 1 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. water.
Step 2 - Have heating in 200 degree oven one large can of salted peanuts.
Step 3 - When the sauce pan hits 240 degrees add the peanuts from the oven and 1/2 c. butter.
Step 4 - At 280 degrees turn heat to medium. You must stir peanuts slowly to keep them from scorching. Step 5 - At 293-294 degree add 1 tsp vanilla. (which you should previously measure out)
Step 6 - At 298 turn heat to low (if electric stove turn burner off but leave on burner). Sprinkle 1 Tbsp baking soda over candy and gradually fold in.
Step 7 - By this time the temp should be 300 degrees. Remove candy thermometer, allow candy to set 10 to 15 seconds without stirring.
Step 8 - Quickly dump candy on buttered foil
Do not spread!
