2 tabs olive oil or sesame oil
2 tabs butter
4 cloves Garlic minced
2 lbs. green beans washed (can also use whole frozen green beans, thawed)
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 teas salt
1/4 teas pepper

Optional: slightly toasted slivered almonds. Can toast in oven or pan. Watch closely because they can burn easily.

1. In a pan, heat oil and butter over medium-high heat.
2. Add garlic; cook and stir 45-60 seconds or until golden.
3, Using a slotted spoon, remove garlic from pan; reserve.
4. Add green beans to pan; cook and stir 4-5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
5. Stir in broth, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
6. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 8-10 minutes or just until beans are tender and broth is almost
evaporated, stirring occasionally.
7. Stir in reserved garlic. Sprinkle the toasted almonds atop.
