1 c. water
1 T. shortening
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
2 1/4 tsp. yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in bread machine. Form in long loaf on pan (corner to corner). Let rise for approximately 45 minutes or so. Brush with 1 egg white and 1 tablespoon water. Mix together, just before baking and just after making slashes on top of loaf. Or just dust top with flour. Bake at 375º for 20 minutes, or until done.
Good flavor.
