Ingredients:
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. shortening
4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. In a large bowl, dissolve sugar and salt in remaining warm water. Add shortening and yeast and mix well. Add flour, mixing well. Let dough rise for 10 minutes, then work through it with table knife. Repeat this 4 more times. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Divide in half; shape into two balls and let rise for 10 minutes. Roll each half into a 9x12-inch rectangle. Starting with 12-inch side, roll jellyroll fashion; seal edges. Place on greased cookie sheet. Score top diagonally 6 times with sharp knife. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cover, let rise 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 350º to 400º for 30 to 35 minutes. I make mine in the bread machine on the dough cycle. Then I follow above procedure.
