1/2 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cups raisins (soaked & drained)
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. ground nutmeg
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
4 cups chopped green tomatoes
1 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Wash, peel & dice green tomatoes.
Sprinkle with 1 T. salt.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Place in colander & rinse w/cold water & drain.

Preheat over to 350 degrees F.

Grease & flour 9x13 inch pan.

Cream butter & sugar.
Add eggs, & beat until creamy

Sift together flour, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda & salt.
Add raisins & nuts to dry mixture;
add to creamed mixture.
Dough will be very stiff.
Mix well.

Add drained tomatoes & mix well.
Pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick instered into cake comes out clean. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or frost with favorite caramel or cream cheese frosting.
