6 slices of bacon
2# rinsed and trimmed fresh green beans
1/2 c. diced yellow onion
1 1/2 c. chicken broth or water
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut bacon into small pieces and place in a large pan. Cook over medium heat until bacon is crispy.
2. DO NOT remove the grease.
3. Add the oinions and saute with the bacon until they are transparent
4. Add green beans and pepper and stir making sure the bacon drippings are getting mixed in.
5. Add broth or water and reduce heat to low.
6. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until the beans are done. Make sure that you have some liquid on the bottom of the pan so the beans don't burn.
7. Add salt .
