4 ½ c flour
1 ¼ c sugar
2 t baking soda
½ t salt
½ t allspice
2 eggs
2 c buttermilk
8 T butter, melted
2 c fresh raspberries or blueberries, washed & drained
Sugar to sprinkle on top

Directions:
Directions:
All ingredients should be at room temperature.
Preheat oven to 425º. Grease 24 muffin tins or line with paper cups.
Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and allspice.

In another bowl, beat eggs and buttermilk. Add melted butter to egg mixture and stir. Add half the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and mix lightly. Add raspberries and mix to moisten. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix lightly.

Spoon into muffin tins, ¾ full. Top with a sprinkle of sugar.
Bake 18-22 minutes, or until done.
