Ingredients: 3½ pounds of top round steak (or I use patted out hamburger from 80/20 ground beef into hamburger patties) 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup 2 cans of low sodium beef broth 2 envelopes of Lipton Beefy onion dry soup mix 1 cup of sautéed diced fresh mushrooms 3 tbsp buter approx. 2 cups of all purpose flour salt to taste pepper to taste Vegetable oil for frying

Directions:1. If using round steak- cut the Round steak into pieces and add salt and pepper to each piece of meat. If using patted out hamburger meat- add salt and pepper to each side of the patties. 2. Dredge the meat in the flour. 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over high heat. 4. Add the meat to the frying pan and fry the meat on both sides until the meat is browned. 5. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, add the browned meat. 6. In a medium size mixing bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, dry soup mix, beef broth and the sautéed mushrooms. 7. Pour the mushroom mixture over the meat. 8. Cover with foil. 9. Bake at 350º for one hour. 10. Reduce the heat to 275º and bake for 1 hour or until the meat is fork tender. Enjoy! |
