"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Personal Notes:
This began as a salad I brought for a Christmas dinner. The kids went crazy over it. After that, they asked for it at Easter, then Memorial day, 4th of July and every occasion. It went from one pan of Christmas Salad to 2 pans of Holiday Salad. Now thanks to the cookbook, it's everyone's Holiday Salad as much as you want.
