1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
3/4 cup flour
4-5 cans chicken broth
3 (9.75 ounce) cans chicken breast, drained and shredded
1 box Uncle Ben's Wild Rice
1/2 cup of cream or whole milk
1 tsp poultry seasoning

Directions:
Directions:

In soup kettle melt butter, add onion and celery and saute until celery softens up.

In another pan cook rice and seasoning according to package

Add flour to butter, celery, and onion mixture, stir until smooth and a bubbly.

Gradually add broth and mixture will come to a boil and will thicken.

Add all of the ingredients and simmer.

May add slivered almonds if so desired
