1 3/4 pound sirloin tip roast or pot roast
3 Tablespoons of shortening
1/2 cup cooking sherry
Pkg of Herb & Garlic or Garlic Herb dry salad dressing
1 sliced onion
1 bay leaf
Dash of nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Brown roast on all sides in a dutch oven. Cobine sherry with dressing and pour over roast. Add sliced onion, 1 bay leaf and a dash of nutmeg.

Cover and roast at 175 for 8-10 hours.

Take roast out and keep warm. Mix flour, salt, pepper and water then add to boiling liquid in the pan to make gravy.
