1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 unsalted butter
1/2 cup half and half
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 granny smith apples cored and sliced 1/4 thick
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice from 1 lemon
1/4 cup salted roasted pepitas
halloween sprinkles for garnish

Directions:
In medium saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter, half and half, vanilla, and 1 teaspoon salt over medium-high, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Let stand until cool enough to touch, about 10 minutes. Toss apples with lemon juice; arrange on platter. Drizzle sauce over apples. Top with pepitas and sprinkles. Serves 10.
