Ingredients: 9 cups water (will be divided) 2 cups white (granulated) sugar 3 cups Brandy (can use less but at least 2 cups) 1 large can (12-16 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate (partially thawed) 1 large can frozen lemonade concentrate (partially thawed) orange slices and maraschino cherries for garnish

Directions:Combine 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar in small saucepan; heat to boiling, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Set aside to cool. (can do this step on stovetop or microwave) In a gallon size ice cream pail (or any large freezer safe container with lid) mix 7 cups cold water, cooled sugar mixture, Brandy and both juices. Cover and freeze for 24-48 hours. Stir a few times while freezing. To serve: use an ice cream scoop to fill glass half full of slush. Add any lemon-lime soda (I like 50/50 but 7-Up, Sprite & Fresca work) and garnish with straw, orange slice and maraschino cherry. Hints: I use plain Brandy but you can use flavored Brandy if you prefer. Also can try 2 cups Brandy and 1/2 cup Peach Schnapps. Can also use 1 pint of Vodka (flavored or not) instead of Brandy. |

Notes: This is a great summer party drink using good old Wisconsin brandy! I got it from my mother-in-law who kept a bucket in the freezer at their lake cabin. The picture is taken at Santa Monica pier while attending Rose Bowl 2020, Oregon vs Wisconsin!
