1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
1 Package (3½ oz.) Instant Vanilla Pudding
¾ Cup safflower oil
1 Cup Tawny Port Wine
3 eggs
Powdered sugar for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Oven rack in center position.

Grease and flour a 9in tube or bundt pan

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and beat with a fork for 5 minutes.

Pour batter into pan and tap to release any bubbles

Bake 40-45 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool upright on rack

When cool, set serving platter under upturned pan and rap the pan to release the cake

Sift powdered sugar over the cake before serving.

I had to try it twice to make sure I found the right recipe that mother used. Delicious. This is it. She loved baking her wine cake for potlucks and when hosting book club meetings.
