Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh asparagus (choose thin asparagus where available)
olive oil
pressed or minced garlic (1-2 cloves, or 1-2 tsp)
juice of 1/2 lemon
Parmesan block (for grating)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. If you have a convection option use it (not required). Rinse asparagus, hold each by the woody bottom and the middle and gently bend until it breaks (the break point is where the tender part begins, and will be different on each stalk). Discard woody bottom.
Place asparagus in single layer on baking sheet (Keep all the 'tops' in the same direction to make it easier to scoop up for a nice presentation.) Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with the garlic, salt and pepper. Gently toss. Put into oven and roast for 8 to 10 minutes, until crisp-tender. Place in serving dish and sprinkle lemon juice over, gently toss. Grate fresh parmesan over.
