-½ to 1 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey
-½ tsp. salt
-¼ tsp. black pepper
-1 c. chicken or beef broth
-15 oz. can red kidney beans, drained & rinsed
-15 oz. can pinto beans, drained & rinsed
-15 oz. can of diced or crushed tomatoes (choice based on desired texture)
-2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
-1 Tbsp. chili powder
-2 tsp. ground cumin
-½ tsp. parsley
-½ tsp. paprika
-¼ tsp. garlic powder
-1 c. frozen corn kernels
-Optional: 2 cans (4-oz each) green chiles (mild, medium, or hot)

Toppings (optional): tortilla chips/strips, sour cream, cheese, cilantro, etc.

Directions:
-Brown the ground beef or turkey, breaking into small pieces as it cooks. Drain grease. Season with salt & pepper.
-Add ground beef or turkey to the crockpot with all other ingredients except for frozen corn and toppings. Stir well.
-Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
-Stir in the corn and heat on high until cooked through
-Season with salt & pepper to taste and add any desired toppings.
