Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 K. potatoes
5 eggs
¼ cup water
1 small onion, grated finely
1 T. salt
Pepper
½ cup oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 200 C. Peel potatoes and keep them in a bowl of cold water so that they don’t change color. In a large bowl, add the eggs, water, onion, salt, and pepper. Now grate the potatoes and add them to the egg mixture. Stir really well. In the meantime, pour the oil in a pan (preferably a black casserole pan) and put it in the hot oven. As soon as the oil sizzles, take out the pan (be careful! Use mitts!) and pour in the potato mixture. This creates a great crust. Bake at 200 C. for 1 hours until a crust forms and then at 160 C. for an additional hour. You can use this same recipe to make latkes.
