Oil
Several different types of vegetables, peeled, sliced and put into bowls.
Optional: chicken slices

Sauce:
3 T. dry white wine
½ cup water
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. potato starch
(When it is not Pesach, I also add 3 T. soy sauce.)
Salt to taste if necessary

Directions:
Directions:
Warm oil until it ripples (It should not smoke!). If you use chicken, brown them in the oil. Add vegetables one at a time according to the amount of cooking they need. The ones that need longer should be first. Make a sauce in a separate bowl. Add the sauce to the vegetables and bring it to a boil. The sauce gets thick when it boils. Add salt to taste.
