Dough:
6 oz. beer (110º)
1 T. sugar
2 t. kosher salt
2 t. yeast
2 ¼ c. bread flour
⅛ c. melted butter

Egg Wash:
egg yolk
1 T. water

Water Bath:
10 c. water
⅔ c. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.

Dissolve yeast in beer; add sugar and salt. Mix well; set aside.

Combine flour and melted butter. Stir in yeast mixture. Cover and let rise 30 minutes or until doubled.

Shape pretzels or wrap hot dogs. Set 30 minutes. Bring water and baking soda to boil in large saucepan. Drop into boiling water for 30 seconds. Brush with egg wash; sprinkle with salt. Bake 15 minutes.
