6 C onions, sliced thinly
1/4 C butter, meloted
2 T flour
1 t dry mustard
1 t sugar
1/4 t ground pepper
2 T brandy
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes hot pepper sauce
6 C beef broth (1.5 L)

2 C shredded Swiss or Mozzarella cheese
2 T Parmesan cheese
Paprika

Directions:
Directions:
Combine onions and melted butter in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. Stir in flour, mustard, sugar and pepper. Sitr in brandy, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Add in broth. Cover and cook for 40 - 50 minutes. Ladle into bowls and top with Baguette as per below.

Cut baguette into 18 slices about 1/2 inch thick. Place slices in broiler pan. Broil slices until toasted for about one minute. Remove and add cheese on top. Sprinkle with paprika. Broil until cheese is melted. Use on top of soup.
