10 tomatoes
2 T oil
2 T butter
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 carrots, chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
1/4 C chopped fresh basil
1/4 t Italian seasoning
1/4 C Burgundy wine
1 bay leaf
2 stalks celery
2 T tomato paste

Directions:
Directions:
Bring pot of water to boil. Plunge tomatoes in to boiling water until skin starts to peel. Remove and place in ice bath. Remove peel. Cut 8 tomatoes and puree in blender. Chop remaining two tomatoes and set aside.

On large pot, cook onion, pepper, carrot and garlic in oil and butter until soft. Pour in pureed tomatoes. Stir in rest of ingredients. Bring to boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 4 hours. Discard bay leave and celery. Serve.
