2 cups milk heated and then cooled to luke warm
2 pks dry yeast
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 cups flour

Filling for 4 rolls:
2 lb. ground walnuts
2-1/4 cups sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract
enough milk to make sticky

Directions:
Directions:
Beat all together 4 minutes with mixer, add 2 eggs and 1/2 cup oil and beat 4 minutes more
then add 4 more cups flour and mix enough to get all flour blended in.
Cover bowl and let stand about 20 minutes in warm place. Then divide dough into 4 parts
and roll out one at a time on floured board in a rectangle about 1/4" thick. Spread with melted
butter and spread with filling. Roll up and put 2 rolls on each greased cookie sheet.
Cover and let rise one hour or so till about double in size. Brush with egg and sugar water
(1 egg beaten, 2 tsp sugar and 1T water). Prick every 2" with a fork and bake at 350º for
about 30-35 minutes--so they are brown but not burnt on bottom.
Cool on racks.

You can also use apricot butter or poppy seed filling in these.
