Ingredients:  
2 cups chopped dates
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1+1/2 cup boiling water
2 well beaten eggs
2 tsp baking soda
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Pour water over dates, sugar & butter. Let stand until cool

Mix soda, salt & flour together then add eggs. Mix into date mixture. Stir well

Stir in chopped nuts.

Bake in 2 greased & lightly floured loaf pans for 50 minutes
