½ cup warm water
2 cups hot water

1/3 cup vegetable oil
6 ½ cups flour

Directions:
In a small bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in ½ cup warm water. Let set for 10 min.

In a separate bowl, combine hot water, salt, oil and 3 cups of the flour and mix together. Add yeast mixture and remaining flour, a little at a time, mixing until dough starts pulling away from the bowl. Let set for 10 minutes.

Separate dough into 3 pieces. On a floured surface, roll each piece into a 9 x 12 rectangle. Roll up like a jelly roll and shape into loaves. Place onto a greased baking sheet, seam side down. Make 3 to 4 diagonal cuts with a sharp knife about ¼ inch thick in each loaf. Brush with beaten egg.

Let dough rise uncovered for 30 – 40 minutes in a warm place. Bake at 375º for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
