Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
3/4 cup milk, scalded
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 TB shortening
1 egg
1 pk yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2+1/2 cups flour or amount to make soft dough

CARMEL:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 TB corn syrup
1/3 cup butter
30 pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Scald milk

Add sugar, salt & shortening to milk

Let cool to lukewarm then add beaten egg & yeast which is already softened in 1/4 cup lukewarm water

Add flour to make soft dough then let rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size

Bake for 20 minutes

To make CARMEL BUNS mix brown sugar, syrup & butter together then put one TB in each cup of muffin tin &/or on top of dough
