3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. cream
Heat these two ingredients until hot.
In a bowl have 1½ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
Combine the hot mixture to the powdered sugar mixture and whip well. When ready put on top of angel food and a little on the edge so it drizzles down the sides of the cake,

My mother always made her own angel foods from scratch. I can still picture her with the little hand egg beater beating those whites to high peaks! I always use a Betty Crocker 1 step angel food mix. I love to use the glaze recipe for chocolate cupcakes too. I add another tablespoon of butter and ½ to ¾ cup powdered sugar to get a nice consistency. Spread on cupcakes or a cake..
