Personal Notes:
For the McKinney family, I usually double the recipe.
This was a favorite starting back to my Swiss Grandma who had her own iron. All her children shared it to make cookies at Christmas.
When my mom was in Europe, she bought an iron of her own. When Jack and I went to pick up Shannon from Germany, we bought an iron thanks to Swiss relatives who lived in Frutigen. I'm still hoping to add one more to the family store.
Enjoy the delicious buttery flavor.
Better yet, get someone to gift these cookies to you.
The following grandkids have helped make the cookies.
Rhapsody, Cherry, Michael, Steven, Cody.
