2/3 cup sifted flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1+1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 cup (1 stic0 butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 pint vanilla ice cream

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Grease a 8" cake pan

Combine flour, cocoa & salt on wax paper

Spread walnuts in a shallow pan, Toast , stirring often, for 10 minutes; cool; & reserve

Beat butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla in a medium bowl until light & fluffy

Stir in flour mixture until well blended.

Stir in toasted walnuts. Turn into prepared pan

Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Remove from pan & cut into pie shaped wedges.serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream & more walnuts & hot fudge sauce on top
