1/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups unsifted flour
3/4 cup Hershey's cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream butter & sugar in a large bowl.

Add eggs & vanilla & blend well

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt, blend into creamed mixture

Stir in nuts (if desired)

Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 9 minutes - do not overbake - cookies will be soft. Cool on cookie sheet until set.about one minute, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely
