1/2 cup shortening
2 tsp powdered (instant) coffee
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups confectionary sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup cocoa
1/3 cup milk
Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening, egg, cocoa, coffee & salt.

Add sugar (sift if lumpy) alternately with milk & vanilla.Beat until smooth.

If frosting is too thick to spread easily, beat in 1/2 tsp milk at a time.
