1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1+1/2 cup flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/3 tsp salt
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Cream shortening thoroughly then add sugar gradually.

Beat egg yolks then add to mixture

Sift flour, salt & powder then add to mixture alternately with milk. Put the vanilla in with the last of milk.

Beat egg whites until stiff then fold into mixture.

Pour into pan of your choice & bake 30 minutes
